Please join the Stanford Military-Affiliated Community in the screening of Almost Sunrise followed by a panel discussion.
May 24th 530-830
The Event: The event is a film screening of the new, award-winning documentary, Almost Sunrise, followed by a Q&A/ Panel Discussion with the film's producer, director, and three leading physicians in the mental health field. The purpose of the event is to serve as a resource for Veterans in the Bay Area, and to inform the general public and facilitate new conversations about the mental health challenges faced by Veterans returning from combat. The film and conversation will also shed more light on the largely undiscussed concept of "moral injury" and what it means for the ways in which health professionals serve Veterans in the future.
Given the timeline, food will be served at intermission. Please find more details at the reservation website link discussed below, and in the attached flyer.
Tickets/ Reservations: Reservation/ tickets are free, but required in order to help us track attendance. There is limited seating available (250), so we ask that you only sign up when you can fully commit to attending, and if your plans change, we kindly ask that you cancel your reservation.
