Army ROTC

Main content start

Army ROTC at Santa Clara University is a program that fosters the development of cadets' academic, athletic, professional, and mental strengths. This program is ideally designed as a four-year process. During classes, leadership labs, physical training, and field training exercises, you will learn firsthand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups, and conduct missions as an Officer in the US Army.

More About the AROTC

The Military Science Program offers classes open to all Santa Clara students and the Bronco Battalion, an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) battalion of cadets from Santa Clara University, Stanford University, San Jose State University, and UC Santa Cruz. We are designed to develop management skills and leadership abilities for successful careers in both the corporate world and the military. Learn more here

During a typical week, commitments (across all class levels) look like:

  • Tuesday
    • 0630-0800: Physical Training (PT)
    • 0830-1010: Military Studies (MS) Class
  • Thursday
    • 0630-0800: Physical Training (PT)
    • 0830-1010: Military Studies (MS) Class

Donning my Army Combat Uniform (ACUs) and meticulously packing my backpack, I make every effort to shake off the grogginess. Once satisfied that nothing essential has been overlooked, I step out the door. Learn more here
